Providing resources and support for molecular genetics, genetic epidemiology, and functional genomics.

  • Single SNP and array genotyping
  • DNA/RNA targeted sequencing
  • Data processing and analysis support for small or large scale genotype cleaning and genetic association analysis
  • Bioinformatics support for pathway analysis, methylomics and transcriptomics analysis
  • Consultation for study design and power calculations for genetic and family studies, including power calculation/sample size
  • Access to Amish sample repository and genetic results including serum and DNA samples, and genetic association results from our Amish Variant Server for approved users

Service Description

Precision Nutrition Core

Provides data cleaning and imputation; analysis of transcriptomic; genome-wide association analysis of sequencing and genotyping data for trios, sibships, family-based, cohort and/or case-control studies; calculation of principal components with adjustment for population stratification; and gene by environment interaction analysis.

Includes consultation related to the explanation and interpretation of the analyses, graphic representation of results, proof reading of manuscripts and assistance with potential grant applications based on research data.

Provides assistance with developing new nutrigenetic/nutrigenomics studies or incorporating nutrigenetic/nutrigenomic components in existing studies of obesity and related research.

Services include study design, sample processing, assay brokerage, generation of preliminary data, data analysis and interpretation, grant preparation and submission to the completion of the project including interpretation and dissemination of results.
